How lucky we are to have this service available. My first request was to have some old curtains reversed to conceal fading and relined with black out fabric - cost effective and no change of decor required. Today I collected my leather jacket which has had the sleeves shortened. The sleeves are vented and with chunky zips but the shortening has retained both of these features. I have confidence in Hamid and, as an irregularly shaped old girl, his alterations will allow me to be as stylish as I want to be without hems and sleeves too long. Service: Alterations

I have used this amazing tailors on several occasions now and felt that I needed to leave a review. My daughter's wedding was set for June 30th and the dress code was to be smart, casual. Whilst I can do smart, casual, to me, suggests jeans or chinos but what kind of a shirt? My wife found something she thought I would like and she was right, the shirt arrived from Italy and it was every bit as good as the shop photos but way, way too big. I did a quick 'search' and found Tenterden Tailors and spoke to the proprietor, Hamid, who suggested I take the shirt to him and whilst there, put it on. Well, I put it on and not only did my hands vanish but I could have worn a rucksack under the shirt and know-one would have noticed, Hamid said he could alter the shirt for me and suggested that I should give him till the following week to collect it. I picked my shirt up, after trying it on and Hamid had skillfully made the shirt a 'perfect' fit, I was delighted! Thank you Hamid, I had so many compliments, my daughter also thought it was wonderful and so my day was one of so many happy memories and I now have a favourite shirt. David.
